Highlands Actions Needed
Highlands Council Funding Available for Initial Assessment Grants: "No Strings Attached" Grants of Approximately $15,000 for Municipalities
In these times of fiscal austerity, funding sources for municipal planning are drying up. However, the Highlands Council has grants available (in the range of $15,000) for municipalities to study the implication of conforming their planning and zoning to the Highlands Regional Master Plan. Accepting an Initial Assessment Grant (IAG) does not obligate the municipality to conform.
ANJEC strongly urges all Highlands municipalities to take advantage of this opportunity to improve their local planning. For further information on IAGs contact Herbert S. August, Manager of Grants Administration, New Jersey Highlands Council (908) 879-6737 or email grants@njhighlands.state.nj.us
