Pitch In with a 2015 Central Jersey Stream Team River Cleanup!

The Central Jersey Stream Team (CJST) is an organization dedicated to restoring and educating the public about New Jersey’s rivers.

Joseph and David Van Deursen organized a “Just 2 Eagle Scouts Doing a South Branch/Raritan River Cleanup” in July 2012 to improve the river for wildlife. A hundred people showed up. They removed 100 tires and filled a 30-cubic-foot dumpster. The Central Jersey Stream Team was born!

Three years later, the CJST hosts many different clean-ups and anyone can volunteer. They have an Earth Day Raritan Cleanup scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2015. To learn more about CJST and details on cleanups, visit their website at http://www.cjstreamteam.org/.
